Forbes has released its annual list of the highest-paid celebrities, and this year’s list features a number of stars who make beaucoup bucks via working in television.

Coming in at No. 1 — again — is Oprah Winfrey, whose annual earnings topped US$165 million. Not bad, unless you consider that this is down by more than US$125 million from last year’s earnings. Better start clipping coupons, Oprah!

Other familiar faces on the Forbes list in include America’s Got Talent judge Howard Stern, whose TV wages (reportedly US$15 million) augments his already-hefty salary from his Sirius satellite radio show, and Tyler Perry, who continues to crank out hit movies about a transvestite grandma and assembly-line TV sitcoms.

The most surprising name on the list: rapper Dr. Dre, whose last studio album was released in 1999. As it turns out, Dr. Dre is making a fortune from his way-expensive Beatz headphones, which have become a must-have accessory for hipsters despite the fact that you need to take out a bank loan to afford them.
