It pays to have your own “social media correspondent.” This was certainly the case with last night’s season-three premiere of The Voice, which was last night’s most-tweeted-about network TV broadcast with more than 400,000 tweets.
“What a way to kick start season 3!” gushed on tweeter, while another put it more succinctly. “#thevoice is simply the best show ever!”
Time will tell whether this trend continues over the next few days, as The Voice will also be airing new episodes on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Coming in at a distant second place, the Bachelor Pad season finale racked up just over 74,000 tweets, while the debut of controversial new comedy The New Normal landed at fifth with 27,084 tweets.
Both of Gordon Ramsay’s Monday-night shows also landed in TV’s Twitter top 10, with MasterChef coming in a No. 4 and Hell’s Kitchen at No. 8, while a rerun of How I Met Your Mother came in at No. 7.
