Gene Roddenberry’s 1987 spin-off of his iconic 1960s sci-fi series is released — again — this time in blu ray. This beautifully packaged six-disc set includes all first -season episodes (including the two-hour, Roddenberry-scripted series premiere Encounter at Farpoint). In addition, the set also includes an array special features, including original promos for each episodes, a documentary on the creation of the series, another about the process of bringing the show to blu ray, as well as archival features and interviews with the cast and crew.
