It looks like Kelly Ripa’s revolving roster of co-hosts will be coming to a close now that producers of the daytime chatfest formerly known as ‘Live With Regis and Kelly’ appears to be narrowing in on a permanent co-host.

According to a report on the website Showbiz411.com, the choices for Kelly’s co-host have been narrowed down to the final three. ‘Saturday Night Live’ head writer and Weekend Update anchor Seth Meyers is the frontrunner, with former NFL star Michael Strahan and singer Josh Groban also making the list.

Ripa has been pretty vocal about her No. 1 choice — CNN anchor Anderson Cooper — but Coop has his hands full these days with his CNN gig as well as his ratings-challenged daytime talk show, which will return for a second season in the fall.

According to the report, Meyers will continue to read the fake news on SNL if he gets the job. In the meantime, he’ll be Kelly’s guest co-host for a full week of shows next week, which will reportedly be his tryout. If all goes well next week, we may be watching ‘Live With Kelly and Seth’ come the fall.
