Two and a Half Men’s half-man Angus T. Jones made headlines a few months back when he appeared in a religious video decrying his own show, begging people not to watch such “filth” — despite earning a massive US$350,000 per episode.
Although his character has been absent for several episodes and Jones’ future with the show was in question, series creator Chuck Lorre told USA Today that Jones would be returning, and will be welcomed with open arms.
“He’s coming back next week. He’s part of our show. He’s part of our family. We love him,” Lorre said during a red-carpet interview at last night’s People’s Choice Awards, adding that he spoke with Jones after the video went viral: “I was concerned about him continuing with us, but he’s entitled to his journey. He’s a sweetheart. He’s fine. He’s 19, man. Cut him some slack.”
