Amidst rumours that Mariah Carey is aghast over suggestions that Nicki Minaj may join her at the American Idol judging table, she took to Twitter to offer producers her own suggestion: rocker Lenny Kravitz.
Posting this pic of the two together, Carey tweeted: “@AmericanIdol What’s going on? need the info!! What about this combo? : ) if we could ever get him to do it!”
Gossip mills are reporting that Carey is enraged by the idea of Minaj as a judge after signing on under the assumption that she would be the show’s sole female judge.
If the offer came, it could be a solid move for Kravitz, who hasn’t exactly been burning up the charts lately (although he did appear in one of the year’s hottest films, The Hunger Games).
Also rumoured to be in Idol negotiations are Kanye West and Nick Jonas, although Idol producers have yet to approach anything near a final decision.
