When you’re a troubled Hollywood trainwreck with a make-or-break comeback project about to debut, an interview with Barbara Walters should be just the ticket to get that flailing career back on track.

Not, apparently, if you’re Lindsay Lohan, who reportedly backed out of a 20/20 interview with Barbara Walters that was scheduled to air next week.

According to Deadline.com, Lohan’s new PR firm, Hollywood heavy-hitters Rogers & Cowan, have advised Lohan to bail, perhaps figuring that anything Lohan says about her recent tabloid-documented shenanigans will only make things infinitely worse.

Lohan will soon be seen portraying Elizabeth Taylor in Lifetime’s made-for-TV movie Liz and Dick, which will air November 25.
