Game shows continue to be a popular part of the entertainment landscape, and TV Guide has just released its list of the 60 greatest TV game shows of all time.

Leading the list is (drumroll please) Jeopardy!, the Alex Trebek-hosted perennial that remains one of TV’s highest-rated syndicated series. The show, created by the late Merv Griffin, originally ran from 1964, even though is first premiered back in 1964 and ran until 1975, with host Art Fleming serving as quiz-master. A new, revamped version of Jeopardy! returned in 1984, hosted by former CBC newscaster Alec Trebek, who remains the show’s host.
