Dirty Jobs host Mike Rowe has announced that Discovery Channel is cancelling the show, which first debuted back in 2003.

In a blog post, Rowe revealed that he found out about the cancellation a few weeks ago, and he thanked the channel, the viewers and everyone who was ever featured on the show. “Dirty Jobs is a very personal show, and it’s difficult for me to imagine a future that does not involve exploding toilets, venomous snakes, misadventures in animal husbandry and feces from every species,” he wrote.

If you’re keeping score, this is the second Discovery Channel show to be axed in the last week, following the announcement that the current season of American Chopper would be its last.
