Could Curb Your Enthusiasm‘s Larry David be heading back to the big screen? Entertainment news website Showbiz 411 is reporting that David has signed on to star alongside Mad Men’s Jon Hamm in an improvised movie that, while not technically Curb, sounds an awful lot like it.
According to the site, the as-yet-untitled film will feature David playing a character similar to his Curb doppelganger, i.e., a constantly irritated “social assassin” who gets into all manner of socially awkward conflicts. David and his crew of Curb/Seinfeld writers are currently working on the “script-ment” (described as a “script-slash-treatment”) for the project, which will be directed by Superbad’s Greg Mottola.
If you ask me, the whole things sounds like it could be pretty good. Pretty…pretty…pretty good.
