Oops, she did it again! According to a story in ‘People’ magazine, freshman ‘X Factor’ judge Britney Spears once again walked off the set during the auditions in Greensboro, North Carolina, after a man dressed in women’s clothing rocked out on Spears’ “You Drive Me) Crazy.”
Spears reportedly looked “stunned” during the performance, while fellow judges Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato hid their faces in their hands to stifle their laughter.
Although this is similar to an earlier incident in which Spears walked off the set after an aspiring singer butchered one of her songs, this time around the whole thing seems to be much ado about nothing; after Spears walked off, L.A. Reid and Lovato likewise walked off in a show of comedic solidarity, while Cowell stayed at the table and told the singer that “I don’t think she quite understood your tribute.”
Spears returned shortly after. “I really respect the tribute,” she said. “It was really nice.”
In the meantime, I think we’ve all learned an important fact: the best way to get Britney Spears to leave a room is to sing one of her own songs to her.
