Fans were thrilled when Netflix inked a deal to air brand-new episodes of Arrested Development, the critically acclaimed comedy series cancelled by Fox in 2006. Canadian fans, however, were significantly less thrilled to discover the deal only applied to Netflix subscribers in the U.S., and Canadians would have no way of watching these new episodes.

Until now, that is, with this morning’s announcement that Canadians will be able to enjoy the ongoing adventures of the Bluth family: “With the excitement surrounding the return of Arrested Development, we are thrilled to premiere the new season of the show in Canada at the same time as we launch it in the U.S.,” said Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos.

The new season of Arrested Development will stream on Netflix sometime in 2013.
