The sun has finally started to show its face in Toronto so I was excited to come across these aerial shots of tulips fields in the Netherlands that screamed “spring!”
Photographed by French photographer, Normann Szkop, the tulip fields in the North Holland town of Anna Paulowna are transformed into a canvas of bright, colourful stripes – which kind of remind me of the Paul Smith signature print.
Hopping in a plane with pilot Claython Pender, Szkop was able to capture the vibrant colours and interesting patchwork of these unusual, yet beautiful flower fields. Tulips have long been a major draw for visitors in the Netherlands and after looking through these bird’s eye images I’m beginning to understand what all the fuss is about.
