The streets of Vietnam got a hit of colour this summer as French artist Mademoiselle Maurice created a series of installations using the ancient art of origami.
Brightly coloured paper is formed into simple origami shapes that when adhered against the wall together resemble a star burst. Maurice explains that the star is meant to represent the star of the Vietnamese national flag. “I wanted [to] represent the people: farmers, students, workers, intellectuals and soldiers, whose fight together for their independence”.
