If you’re like me, then you’d rather risk the fashion faux pas of a limited wardrobe by sticking to a carry-on rather than battling the mad crowd at the luggage turnstile.
I swear things weren’t always this bad but the last time I had to wait for my nondescript black trolley bag at Toronto’s Pearson airport, I felt like I was watching the bloodbath scene from The Hunger Games, minus the tribute casualties. Ya, that’s dramatic, but it’s also the unfortunate reality of flying with checked luggage. Apparently the $25 and up checked bag fees are not enough of a deterrent.
In August, American Airlines partnered with BagsVIP who, for a fee of between $30 and $50, will pick up your luggage for you and deliver it to your destination!
Take a look:
United Airlines recently got in on this as well and the service is now offered at hundreds of airports across the U.S. It may sound a little steep, but imagine the ease of arriving at your destination and not having to worry about maneuvering your two over-sized bags onto the packed metro during rush hour. Something to consider.
