The Departure Check-in Hall at Singapore’s Changi airport Terminal 1 just got an art injection with the newest installation by Berlin firm ART+COM.
Composed of 2 sets of 608 copper-coated aluminum raindrops, each droplet is suspended from thin steel ropes spanning across 75 square meters of ceiling. Kinetic Rain is computer-programmed to perform 15-minutes of choreographed movement where droplets “move together in unison, sometimes mirroring, sometimes complementing, and sometimes responding to each other”.
