Uncensored, unscripted and outrageous. That’s how OLN describes their new television series Get Stuffed.
The show, which is a combination of The Amazing Race and Man vs. Food, features four opinionated competitors that travel to offbeat contests held across North America. Each week two of the contestants go head-to-head in a wacky event. But that’s not all. They also have a side bet where the loser has to eat a mountain of food specially prepared by a local chef. In other words, the loser gets told to get stuffed.
Half about travel and half about food, Get Stuffed highlights unique events in interesting places that the inquisitive traveller may want to experience for themselves.
The Competitors
The contestants were picked from a Canada-wide casting call. The lucky “winners” were:
Strongman Ryan “Six Pack” Lapadat, who holds a Guinness World Record for his strength and has medalled at the World Weightlifting Championships; Erin Simms, an actor who once played the Yellow Power Ranger; Joshua Rice, an athlete and artist; and Kalyn Miles, a kick-boxer and comedian.

The Competitions
In each episode of Get Stuffed, two of the four series contestants are pitted against each other at a different event. Here are a few examples of the wacky competitions featured in the show that you probably didn’t know existed:
On the surface, ostrich races sound like fun, but imagine trying to ride on a 250 kg bird with no saddle. At 70 km/h. That’s what Kalyn and Erin have to do when they travel to the Ostrich Festival in Chandler, Arizona.
Or perhaps chasing a greased pig is more your style? That’s the name of the game at the Festival du Cochon in Sainte-Perpetue, Quebec. There’s also a pork-based menu if you’re feeling peckish after all that exercise.
In another episode, contestants take part in the Redneck Games in East Dublin, Georgia. The good ol’ boy events range from tossing toilet seats to a belly flop competition in a mud pit.
Frozen Dead Guy Days is a warmhearted tribute to a (real) frozen dead guy who is in a state of suspended animation, waiting for the day he can be brought back to life. The annual event takes place in Nederland, Colorado and features coffin racing, polar dips, and ice turkey bowling.
And then there’s the Testicle Festival in Clinton, Montana.
The Punishment Meals
After each competition, a champion is crowned. And the loser? They have to eat a punishment meal.
The meals are those “so big there’s no way you can eat this but if you do it’s free and we’ll put your picture on the wall but there’s no way you can eat this but if you want to try, be our guest” challenges you find at restaurants across North America.
The Roadrunner Restaurant and Saloon in New River, Arizona has something called “The Deuce” – a two-pound burger stuffed between grilled cheese sandwiches. Plus a pound of fries AND a pound on onion rings.

In Vegas, you can find the Quadruple Bypass Burger at the Heart Attack Grill. The massive burger contains just under 10,000 calories and, according to the Guinness World Records people, it is the World’s Most Calorific Burger. It contains four beef patties (weighing nearly a kilogram), eight slices of cheese, a whole tomato, and half an onion, all on a lard-coated bun.
Another side bet saw the loser attempting to eat a whole haggis. Ew.
If you like food large and your travel adventurous, Get Stuffed is essential viewing. It airs Tuesday at 9 pm Eastern/Pacific on OLN.
