It was only a matter of time before someone was pulled over for driving while wearing Google Glass – and the day has arrived. Cecelia Abadie made headlines on Wednesday when she received a traffic ticket for wearing the device while driving in California.
“Okay Glass, let’s get in trouble.”
Abadie, being a lover of all things Google, posted the ticket on Google+ after the incident took place. Though she was initially ticketed for driving over the speed limit, she was given a second violation for driving with a visible monitor (Glass).
For that part of the ticket to hold up in court, the officer will need to prove that Abadie was actively using Glass while she was driving. Abadie maintains that the device was completely off while she was driving.
