Is the BendDesk the future of workspaces? I hope so, because this seamless curved multi-touchscreen looks fantastic.

BendDesk allows users to interact with the entire curved surface area and combines horizontal and vertical screens with a sleek curve. The “why?” here is truly interesting.  The creators of BendDesk – Media Computing Group – rooted their concept in cognitive psychology and wanted to explore merging an average user’s “two workspace worlds”. One being the desk where we mark up paper, click our mouse, leave our sticky notes, etc. The second being the monitor, where we do everything digital. The BendDesk is one massive interactive workspace that intuitively allows users to work on and store projects in one place.

For those of you thinking about how sore your back will be using something like this, rest easy – pun intended. The creators took special care of their design keeping ergonomics in mind. The entire surface can be used with simple direct manipulation but also multi-touch gestures that allow you to sit back in your chair comfortably.
