Smartphones have changed the way we do, well pretty much everything. That is, except for charging them. It’s a daily chore to power up your device because it’s rare your charge will last you a full 24 hours. And when your battery’s in the red, it’s rare you’re at a convenient location to plug in. Instead of hunting your local coffee shop for an available outlet, why not invest in a portable battery pack?
We’ve told you about portable charging devices before, and now there’s a new, even more compact option available. It’s called Jackery, and it just released two new power packs to suit all your charging needs. Like the myCharge, Jackery’s batteries can charge a couple devices at a time (like your phone and your tablet). But what’s nice about their packs is that you supply the USB cables. That makes it compatible with virtually any device – even the iPhone 5.
The Mini provides 2,600mAh and the Bar boasts 5,600mAh. The smaller of the two, the Mini can charge up a dead iPhone more than once and can charge your dead iPad up to 50% power. That’s impressive! At $39.95 for the Bar and $29.95 for the Mini, Jackery’s packs are affordable too.
I’m the type of person that likes carrying around a battery to charge up, but I don’t do it all the time because, well – it’s clunky. Would you carry around an extra battery or do you prefer to keep your charger on you and hope for the best? Let us know in the comments!
