How many times have you posted a comment to Facebook, only to read it over and experience a mild heart attack because one third of the words contain typos. Yes, it happens to the best of us.
On any other site, we keep calm and select “edit”. But on Facebook, we’re faced with the decision to delete the comment altogether (which is humiliating because the recipient was already emailed an alert featuring your horrid spelling), or let it live on in its incorrect state.
But finally, by some miracle change of heart, Facebook is rolling out comment editing! What’s more, is that you’ll also be able to go back and edit old comments that have been destroying your confidence for weeks, months, and/or years.
It’s not all good news though, because Facebook will be logging your edit history with a passive-aggressive “edited” link directly below the comment. The reason? Because they can.
