Today in heartwarming tech news, the Seattle Children’s Hospital asked their Facebook fans to send in photos of their cats so they could build a “cat immersion tent” for one of their patients, Maga. Maga is a 16-year-old girl who spent more than 7 months in the hospital last year and had to return this year for post-transplant treatment. She really misses her pet cat back at home.
Thanks to those that submitted, the hospital received over 3,000 photos of adorable kitties. They made an awesome slideshow out of the images, added audio of cats purring, and projected the result across drapes that created a sweet fort-like tent around Maga’s hospital bed.
Watch her experience it below:
If you didn’t smile or tear up when Maga asks if the photo of the dog and cat hugging is possible, then you have no soul.
At the end of the video, Maga expresses her thanks to those that sent in their photos and well wishes. The Internet hopes you get better and get to see your cat Merry very soon, Maga.
