After Lil Wayne’s infamous deposition, in which he put the snark out on a douchebag lawyer, it was pretty obvious to viewers that Weezy was king. Unfortunately for Lil Wayne, the judge has ruled against the musician’s deposition in favour of the Carter documentary filmmakers who say that Wayne’s refusal to participate in their documentary hurt the production of the film. TMZ reports that Wayne never actually attended the trial, forcing the court to make judgement calls on his uncomfortable deposition. (Wayne who recently has been hospitalized for a series of seizures and health problems hopefully had good reason.) Wayne will now be forced to pay filmmaker Quincy Jones III (yes, Quincy Jones’ son) $2.2 million. Adding insult to injury, Wayne lost a countersuit claiming Jones used his songs without permission. Where’s that cough syrup when you need it?
