Soon, investors can have a piece of one of the U.K.’s premier soccer teams as one of Britain’s largest, most winning soccer teams has gone public.
The 19-time championship team filed for its initial public offering on Tuesday in hopes it would raise $100 million during public trading in the U.S.
Rumour has it that Manchester will hold the public offering sometime this summer after contemplating a $1-billion IPO in Singapore. But volatility deterred the team’s owners from going public on the market.
The team is owned by the Glazer family in the U.S.
