A group of web savvy Halifax guys stand to make millions off the sale of their startup.
The group of young guys created GoInstant, which is web software allowing users to collaborate on the Internet in real time. The founders just sold the software for $70 million to Salesforce.com, a site known as one of the most innovative in the biz.
Despite the sale, the team doesn’t expect to move its headquarters out of Halifax and wants to expand with another 15 employees in the coming year.
GoInstant just launched in 2011 with a mere $1.7 million in seed financing. The four founders all are graduates from the technology program at Cape Breton University.
