As the tablet wars heat up with U.S. courts banning sales of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet, the major shareholder in the tablet market is delivering another blow with a new product launch.

Apple announced Tuesday it would be releasing a mini version of its wildly popular iPad in order to keep pace with competitors that manufacture smaller versions of the tablet computer.

While Apple has maintained a large majority of the tablet’s market share since the iPad’s release, new competitors entering the market are obviously keeping the company on its innovative toes.
