During the three years it’s been in existence, the popular YouTube channel TheSlowMoGuys has captured a lot of cool things in super slow motion: a giant 6ft water balloon exploding, a guy getting hitting in the face with a soccer ball, popcorn popping, a watermelon bursting open, a mug hitting the concrete, etc.
But until now, they’ve never done anything truly epic. Most of their videos are filmed in their backyard and document things that anyone with access to a camera capable of high frame rates can easily recreate.
Well, here’s a video that you probably won’t be able to recreate in your backyard. Unless, of course, your backyard happens to have five giant cooling towers in it.
