Toronto’s Derek Barnes isn’t a stuntman. That is to say, he’s yet to get a gig as one. I reckon that’s about to change, courtesy of this demo reel he put together with the help of some pals. Okay, it’s technically a two-minute movie, but you get the gist.
The premise? Some dude is out to assassinate our hero Derek. So to survive, he finds himself having to climb buildings, jump off those buildings, get hit by cars, be tossed down metal stairs, and generally have the sauce beaten out of him by a mystery assailant.
Seems redundant to say, but yes, he does all his own stunts. And something tells me he’s a big supporter of socialized health care.
