Unboxing videos are the most borrrrrrrrrrrrring thing in the history of moving images. For those who’ve lived their lives blissfully unaware of the phenomenon, here’s the gist: some nerd buys something — usually, but not exclusively a tech item. He (it’s always a he) then films himself opening up the damn box, talks us through the mind-numbing experience, then uploads the dumb thing to YouTube for, I dunno, posterity or something. There are 80 gajillion of these videos on the Internet, each one making me hate humanity all the more.

This all said, I’ve defied the odds and come across the exception to the rule. The ONE unboxing vid that’s actually worth checking out. For whatever geeky reason, these two fellas decide to unbox 100 cartons of lego, then subsequently sort them all by shape and colour. The entire venture takes 71 hours, but is mecifully time-lapsed into a very entertaining 3 minutes. Who knew boring plus fast-motion could somehow equal awesome? Thanks, nerds!
