Don’t you hate it when you leave your pet monkey in your car outside Ikea, only to have him escape his cage, somehow manage to open the door, and scamper out of the car?
Admittedly this isn’t a very common occurrence (which is unfortunate – seeing a little monkey in a little coat would brighten anyone’s day), but that’s exactly what happened in Toronto this weekend.
Free from the car, the monkey wandered around the customer pick-up area outside the store. Unfortunately, he wasn’t actually able to make it inside.
The only downside to this story is that apparently it’s illegal to own a Rhesus Macaque monkey in Toronto, so he probably won’t be reunited with his family. Hopefully they’ll at least let him keep his stylin’ coat.
