A meteorite weighing 9 tons crashed into the Ural Mountains in Russia this morning with the force of an atom bomb, shattering the windows of a nearby town, and we assume, knocking down all of the Russian daredevils who climb radio towers without safety harnesses.

The meteorite entered the Earth’s atmosphere at a speed of 54,000km/h. At least 950 people were injured by the blast, which broke an estimated 100,000 square metres of glass.

Not surprisingly, the meteorite was captured on several dash cams. Here’s a compilation of the best footage.
