When you think of history’s greatest rivalries, several immediately come to mind. Nixon vs. Kennedy. Ali vs. Frazier. Brown vs. the Board of Education. Joe vs. the Volcano. The list is as long as it is compelling. But know this: few antagonistic relationships cut to the bone quite like parrots vs. squirrels. Why? Hard to say. Yet for reasons unknown, there’s no love lost between these two species. Perhaps it’s over their mutual love of nuts and seeds. Or maybe each simply resents what the other has: badass tree-climbing skills on the squirrels’ part, colourful plumage and the capacity for speech on the parrot side of things.
