We all know that kangaroos are cute. We also know that lemurs—when they aren’t imitating the famous head-twisting scene from The Exorcist, at least—can be pretty cute too. But what happens when you put a kangaroo and lemur in a backyard together? Will the cuteness multiply or will it somehow cancel itself out? Well, if the below video is typical of a kangaroo/lemur encounter, it looks like the degree of cuteness actually skyrockets exponentially until it reaches an off-the-charts level that science cannot currently account for.
Of course, having a cute fawn sitting around in the yard may have thrown the results off somewhat. Also, having a cute dog watching the whole thing from behind the neighbour’s fence probably didn’t help either. In a proper scientific experiment, these variables would have been eliminated. Until someone duplicates this experiment without all the extraneous animals, we really can’t reach any meaningful conclusions.
Still, those animals sure are cute though.
