Here are some facts about the Russian Revolution of 1917:
- It took place in 1917. In Russia.
-It led to the removal of the Tsar, and the eventual creation of the Russian Socialist Federative Soviet Republic (its friends called it Russia for short).
-The main driving force behind the revolution were humans.
-Said humans were not, repeat WERE NOT, assisted by 75-ton robotic war machines.
However, according to the Australian VCE exam (taken by students in grade 12), the fourth fact above is seemingly untrue, as exam authors foolishly inserted the painting above into a question about the revolution. The painting they were going for is Storming the Winter Palace on 25th October 1917, by artist Nikolai Kochergin. The painting above on the other hand is Storming the Winter Palace on 25th October 1917 (Oh, Plus a Robot from BattleTech), by artist Nikolai Kochergin and an anonymous photoshopper.
In the defence of whoever made this mistake, the ‘shopped version of the painting is the first result in Google images, so you can hardly blame them.
Wait a sec – I just thought about it and yes, yes you can.
