While in Chicago recently, I was heartened to see how many Americans — in that region, at least — are obsessed with hockey. Heartened because insufficient marketing and media coverage continue to ensure much of the U.S. remains unaware of the world’s greatest game.
Which makes the below video all the more impressive. 1) Because it features a hard-core, card-carrying Anaheim Ducks fan. And 2) said Ducks fan is a cat. Named Dave, naturally. Sure you can chalk this all up to the old stereotype of feline obsession with waterfowl, but I dare say this little guy’s obsession goes even further. Simply put, he’s an American cat who loves him some hockey, case closed. Oh, and he may have dug into his owner’s special batch of brownies, if you catch my drift.
