25-year-old Kamloops boy Brett Turcotte sure loves him some snow. Which explains why he nabbed the Canadian Snow Cross Championship in 2004, was the 2008 WSA Snowcross Pro Rookie of the Year, and a 2008 X Games Snowcross Silver Medalist. He also goes by the nickname ‘Turkey,’ which I don’t quite understand. Either Turcotte loves the low-fat meat, the country, or is in fact a turkey himself, in the sense that his life choices are perhaps not always the wisest.

Deductive reasoning has me leaning toward the third option, with this video hammering home my suspicions rather decidedly. Basically, it shows our powder-plowing wunderkind taking his snowmobile off the mother of all warranty-voiding jumps. If he pulls it off, he’s a genius. If he doesn’t, well, it’ll be a hard-earned nickname to say the least.
